After two successful years, we’re delighted to announce that our DC Sounds Band Camp is back this June for its 3rd installment.
In collaboration with Bohemians FC, BIMM Institute and Fontaines DC, the band camp is an opportunity for young bands to take their skills to the next level. For 2 weeks, the young bands will experience live performance workshops with industry professionals, songwriting sessions to develop the individuality and creativity of the acts, and studio time to build up their experience and confidence.
Everything runs up to a sold-out show in the Grand Social, where the bands play their own songs, and perform their version of a Fontaines DC classic!
Application is free – you simply need to apply to [email protected] before Mon June 1st with 2 songs and a bio, be living or based in Dublin, and be aged between 14-18 years old. Bands will be chosen based on their availability, interest, and ideas.
Five 4-hour sessions will take place between 22nd – 29th June in BIMM Music Institute, and the final gig will take place in the Grand Social, Dublin on the 30th. We ask that your band will be available for all days. All types of music and genre are welcome; some songwriting and live experience is preferred.
